Waliyaane Prod. Is an independent label Music production and Backing band created by a heavyweight musical production and studio engineer Amadou Moctar Diop called Ama Diop.

The group is based in Dakar, Senegal, and is composed of young musicians most of them coming from the National School of Arts of Dakar.
The name Waliyaane comes from the senegalese expression that means “traveling to acquire knowledge and wealth“.

The label was created as a response to the expections coming from emerging young talents as well as to create a bridge between different musical cultures.  Although there is the tendency to evolve to rythms like Soul, Jazz and Salsa, Waliyaane Prod. is mainly oriented to Hip Hop and Reggae.  African rythms and percussions merge this two musical styles to provide a new sound that artists recognize as “The Waliyaane sound“.

Waliyaane Prod. offers their services to all Hip Hop/R’N’B/Reggae artists who are looking for an original sound no matter where they live and is able to manage music production, mixing and mastering regardless of the size of the projectas well as to produce music for commercials and TV shows.
